Digital Linear Heat Detection Cable LHDC

LHDC

Digital linear heat detection cable LHDC is used for continuous heat and fire-risk detection along cable routes, conveyors, tunnels, cabinets and harsh industrial areas. It triggers alarm when the cable reaches a fixed alarm temperature. Also, it supports early detection of overheating where point detectors may not be practical due to dust, airflow, access difficulty or harsh environmental conditions. As a result, it helps improve fire-risk monitoring near the actual hazard path.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Digital linear heat detection cable is used to detect overheating or fire-risk conditions along cable routes, conveyors, tunnels, cabinets and other industrial areas where point detectors may not be practical.
LHDC uses heat-reactive polymer insulation between two conductors. When the cable reaches its fixed alarm temperature, the insulation changes and allows the conductors to make contact, which sends an alarm signal to the monitoring equipment.
The cable is available in 70°C, 90°C and 180°C alarm temperature options.
Yes. Stainless-steel armour options are available for applications where mechanical protection is required.
The cable can be configured for intrinsically safe hazardous-area applications when used with suitable barriers and interface equipment. Final selection should be checked against the project requirement.
Yes. It is suitable for cable tunnels, cable trays, cable galleries, conveyor systems and similar long-route industrial fire detection applications.
Users should check normal ambient temperature, required alarm temperature, route length, mechanical exposure, chemical exposure, fire alarm interface and maintenance access before selection.
