MWBS Microwave Barrier Switch

MWBS

MWBS microwave barrier switch detects material presence by using a transmitter and receiver installed face-to-face. The transmitter sends microwave signals across the detection path, and the receiver changes relay output when powder, granules, bulk solids or flocculent material blocks or weakens the signal. Also, it supports digital parameter setting, fault diagnosis, Bluetooth debugging, remote display support, 0–100 m measuring range and DPDT relay output. As a result, it suits bin alarms, chute blockage detection, conveyor monitoring and bulk material transfer applications.

    Frequently Asked Questions

MWBS is used for non-contact detection of powder, granules, bulk solids and flocculent materials. It can monitor bin level alarms, chute blockage, conveyor material flow and feed or discharge points.
The transmitter sends microwave signals to the receiver. When material blocks or weakens the microwave signal, the receiver changes the relay output.
The measuring range is 0–100 m, depending on installation and application conditions.
MWBS provides DPDT relay output. The contact capacity is 250 VAC, 2 A.
It can detect powders, granules, bulk solids and flocculent materials. Users should confirm material behavior, dust, buildup and installation distance before selection.
The standard process temperature range is -40°C to +80°C. With a suitable temperature adapter, it can support applications above 80°C and up to 500°C.
Yes. The datasheet mentions Bluetooth debugging and remote display support, which can reduce the need to climb ladders or tanks during setup.
Users should align the transmitter and receiver on the same plane, avoid obstacles in the signal path and avoid placing the units directly below the discharge outlet.
Users should check material type, detection distance, dust, buildup, process temperature, pressure, wear, mounting space, output logic, power supply and installation accessories.
