Capacitive
Level Switch

Capacitive

The Capacitive Level Switch operates by utilizing a probe (inductive electrode) and the container wall (ground electrode) as the two plates of a capacitor. As there's a difference in dielectric constant between the air and the measured medium between these two plates, any variation in the level of the measured medium results in a change in capacitance value. When this capacitance value reaches the set threshold of the switch, it triggers an output switch signal for responsive control, thus facilitating high and low-level detection as well as alarm functionality.
