Toshniwal Industries Pvt. Ltd. (TIPL, as it is fondly called) was incorporated in 1959 with its Registered Office at Mumbai to manufacture Industrial Process Measurement & Control Instruments. The company was set-up under the aegis of Toshniwal Brothers Pvt. Ltd. (Estb. 1948) and the wisdom & guidance of its founding Chairman & Managing Director, (Late) Dr. G. R. Toshniwal, D. Sc. an eminent Scientist & Professor of Physics and his son (Late) Mr. M. G. Toshniwal, an Electrical Engineer from Dayalbagh Engineering College, Agra. The founders returned from Mumbai to their hometown, Ajmer to give life to their dreams and create opportunities for their beloved city, at a time when others were leaving their hometowns for Metros.
Manufacturing commenced in a spacious factory setup at Ajmer (Rajasthan) in 1963 in technical collaboration with world leading instrumentation companies like Hartmann & Braun, Germany (now a part of ABB); British Electric, UK & W.G. Pye, UK. TIPL operated keeping the core values of Knowledge, Trust, Transparency, Ownership & Speed as the basis of doing business and in a short span of time, was recognized as a leading Instrumentation company in India, as a manufacturer of quality instruments and for providing dedicated services to customers with a willingness to stretch with a smile. The success built over the hard work of the founders over the decades, encouraged many ex-employees and others to start their entrepreneurial journey across India.
Over the years, TIPL not only marketed products from world renowned manufacturers from Japan, UK, USA & Germany but added a vast range of products & solutions in their manufacturing basket. TIPL has proudly served over 25,000 customers across various industry segments like Cement, Power Generation, Transmission & Distribution, Steel Making, Automobile, Oil & Gas, Fertilizers, Glass, Sugar, Food & Beverages, Chemicals, Pharma, Paper & Pulp, Rubber, Research Institutes, Schools & Colleges, Medical & Healthcare across India since the days when telegram was the fastest mode of communication from a small city of Rajasthan.

TIPL was among the first MSMEs to have transformed itself into a Paperless environment using integrated ERP, CRM, DMS, CAM solutions since 2010, driving Speed as a core value. TIPL has in-house Calibration Laboratories for Thermal, Electro-technical, Pressure, Flow, Level Parameters - duly approved by the “National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories” (NABL) and maintains traceability to National Physical Laboratory. With in-house Calibration facilities TIPL are a one stop solution to the customer and ensures their processes run with accuracy!

Mr. Rajeev Toshniwal (Electronics Engineer from Delhi College of Engineering), Managing Director has over 40 years of Industrial Instrumentation & Automation experience. Mr Abhinav Toshniwal, BE (EEE) & M.Sc. Physics from BITS, Pilani & Post Graduate in Family Managed Business from SPJIMR joined the 4th generation in the family business joined the Company in 2010 as, adding youth power to the Management. TIPL owes its technological leadership to its 220+ workforce including Technicians, Engineers and Managers and has over 50% female strength in back office roles.
The Company's Chairman Emeritus, Mrs. Manju Toshniwal, is prominent social worker who ensures the Company does it’s bit for the society through the Narayani Devi Govind Ram Toshniwal Charity Trust. She was conferred the 2021 “Margarette Golding Award” (A prestigious International Innerwheel Award for commendable personal service in the community). Throughout its lifetime, TIPL has ensured return on value for all it’s stakeholders including the society.
