Toshniwal offers world proven “MESCON” range of Universal 2-Wire analog Transmitter which offers a combination of selectable input and multi ranging capabilities or fixed input and range models in a small instrumentation package. Sensor type is selectable via DIP switch configuration and offers the choice of most common sensors used in the industrial environment. Ranging is equally easy and can be done in a matter of minutes using plug in metal film resistors and adjusting trimpots. As only one instrument is used for all types and ranges of Thermocouples, RTDs, Potentiometer and DC inputs, spares inventory is reduced.
Input-Output isolation is optionally available to avoid ground loop errors. Such errors can occur if Thermocouple is grounded or used above 600 ºC with any point in output loop grounded (e.g. negative terminal of 24 VDC power supply / output measuring instrument). Isolated design is also recommended for process current loops where common mode voltage exists leading to common mode noise and for protection in environment with high industrial noise and voltage transients.
2-Wire Transmitter, Cat no. IT57 is available in a Universal input DIN rail mounted package (MESCON series 20), in a Universal input miniature circular sensor, head mounting package (MESCON series TH11U / TH12U) and also in a fixed input flat rectangular PCB module.
All these modules are also available in field mounted weatherproof or flameproof (CMRS certified for Group I, II A and II B) cast aluminium enclosures.
